I have put the Monterey and the madero through their paces and both are attractive comfortable and with the wide brim really protect you from the sun. Highly recommend. My only complaint is they should really make a straw fedora with a smaller brim so it can be easier to travel with.
True Confession: I have a huge head... and it makes finding cute hats a huge problem. A friend of mine was wearing this at the beach and allowed me to try hers on. We commiserated about our huge domes and finding cute fashionable hats. I bought it and have shared this with so many people. The style, quality, and comfortability of this hat makes it worth every penny! I've sold several hats in the last few weeks! I wear it at the beach in California, and head down to the barn and horses and it wears well everywhere! (Especially for the Mom bedhead at school dropoffs early in the morning!). This hat is really nice. Feels like quality in the hand/on the head. Did a little reshaping of the brim with warm water/sun baking…love it…perfect for the beach, working outside.
I was looking for a flat brim straw hat and this was perfect for me. Great fit and nice styling, good materials and workmanship. Love it!
