Returns and Exchanges

U.S. orders may be returned or exchanged up to 30 days from date of purchase.  Returns must be in new condition, unworn and free of damages – a quick try on is cool, a float down the river or a sweaty hike is less cool. 

Orders must be returned or exchanged in original packaging or utilize packaging that can safely accommodate the size of item(s) being returned.  Item(s) damaged due to improper packaging will not be eligible for a refund.  With the exception of beanies, improper packaging for hats includes envelopes, poly mailers, bags and/or standard cardboard boxes that do not accommodate the size of the item(s) being returned.

All discounted SALE items are FINAL SALE and not eligible for returns or exchanges.

Returns

  1. Select the item(s) you’re sending back and choose ‘Return.’ (Sale items not eligible)
  2. Print your return label and mail back the original item(s).
  3. Once we receive your return, we’ll refund you for the purchase price of the item(s) back to your original payment method. Original shipping charges are not eligible for refunds and an $8 restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount. 
  4. You’ll receive an Instant Credit code equal to the value of your refund amount that may be used towards a new item on our site. If you don’t use your Instant Credit, or only use part of it, we’ll refund the balance after we receive your item(s) and the code will be deactivated.

Exchanges

  1. Select the item(s) you’re sending back. (Sale items not eligible)
  2. Choose either ‘Exchange for a different size or color’ or ‘Exchange for a different style.’
  3. Print your return label and mail back the original item(s).
  4. We’ll ship the new item(s) to you right away.
  5. If you select a new item(s) that is of lesser value than the original item(s) purchased, we’ll refund the balance back to your original payment method, once we receive your original item(s).

Issue with an order

If you received the wrong item(s), missing an item(s), item(s) damaged due to transit, or believe your item(s) has a manufacturer defect, please email us with your order number and a photo so we can better assist. 

Refunds

Once your return is received, please allow up to 5 days for processing. 

Once approved, we’ll refund you for the purchase price of the item(s) back to your original payment method.  Original shipping charges are not eligible for refunds and an $8 restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount. 

Please allow up to seven days for the credit to appear on your statement. 

Cancellations  

Unfortunately, we are unable to cancel an order after the order has been placed.  If you no longer wish to receive your item, please review our return policy, and start your return, click HERE.

Third Party Sellers

If you purchased your item from a third-party seller or retail store, please contact them directly for questions and concerns regarding returns or exchanges.

Our retailers have their own return or warranty policies, and we do our best not to infringe on their business.

Warranty

Hemlock Hat Co guarantees warranty support for manufacturer defects at company discretion for 6 months from the date of purchase.  Warranty excludes product altered after purchase, damage caused by normal wear, and damage caused by improper use or storage.  Warranty is void without valid proof of purchase from hemlockhatco.com. 

Hemlock is not liable for any physical damages, incidental or consequential, due to the improper use and wear of your product and will not be accepted under warranty.  Hemlock does not cover warranty for item(s) that are lost or stolen.
